With this design, we’ve explored the three-dimensional textures it’s possible to create with embroidery. Lengths of iridescent organza ribbon are pleated and stitched by hand onto a lustrous dupion silk background, in a wavy pattern that recalls coral branches or seaweed fronds. To make the finish even more light reflective, lurex thread is hand-stitched along the ribbon edges. Like all our embroidered cushions, this one is hand crafted by skilled artisans.

This cushion is embroidered on the front only with a plain back, so it sits better on furniture.
