Inspired by a couture gown by Giambattista Valli, this cushion is covered in hundreds of squares of raw-edged silk satin and silk chiffon. Only the centre of each square is stitched to the base fabric, leaving the edges free-floating for an ethereal feel. For added movement, strands of ostrich feather are hand-stitched in between the silk. More of a statement piece than an everyday cushion, this is an unusual way to add texture to seating. The cream shade complements our other neutral cushions and throws.
